I don't see how the 2 are related. I said screw Paul because he seemed to play like a poon before he left except for the playoffs. I had no problem with West and gave him a standing ovation when he returned.

Don't see the problem with cheering for two teams, we didn't have a team in New Orleans until I was 13. Don't know about you fine gentlemen, but I watched the NBA before the Hornets came to town, had a team and it wasn't Charlotte. Of course, when the Hornets came to town, I through my arms around them with open arms, because you have to support home.

No, its been the Clippers, ESPN, did a series on them when I was 10 or 11, followed them around for part of the season. These were the days of Darius Miles, Maggette, Quentin Richardson, the Kandy man, Lamar Odom, a young Keyon Dooling. They followed around these guys, focused on how young and promising the team was and the incredible losing history of the team. Once, I found out how bad they were, I fell in love. Named my pet frog Cornelius, after Corey Maggette and been rolling with them ever since.

If you want to be a part of the Hornets Talk community, you must now renounce your loyalty to Flop City.

I was just about to edit my post. Because I should say, my fondness of them is more of a link to my childhood. I really have a tough time watching Clips games now because they act like such counts. When it comes to Clips vs Hornets games, I'm firmly for the Hornets. But, I can't throw them away, it would be like burning my baseball cards or giving away my old basketball goal.

As a youngin' that was all I wanted, dunks and players acting a fool. Didn't realize until later how many wins such plays translate into (not very many).
