I don't think Bey is the elite defender that herb is.

Bey is a solid player, but he's built to defend 3-4 with some 5 part time. Herb can keep up with quick guards, Bey can't.

I think the reality is we need to reset and move on from Murray, Poole, and zion.

Yall might fight me for this but I think Bey has taken Herb’s starting spot in Dumar’s eyes. I’m not saying that I agree with it but it sounds like it’s going to be Murray, Trey, Bey, Zion, and another C (I’m not sure who) starting next year.

Herb's trade value will NEVER be as high as it will be on this upcoming draft night. I'd expect to get 2 FRPs from a serious contender...probably both in the 18-25 range...or...a FRP and a solid YOUNG player. Is this enough for the Pels to move Herb? You tell me.

Herb is just not a good fit as far as "added value"...for this current rendition of the Pelicans. If we place a value of "X" on Herb while playing for the Pelicans, I can assure you a serious contender (and I hate to say it...but... some team like the Lakers) would value him at "3X" given their current situation of probably having plenty of offense but desperately needing that 3&D glue guy.

Herb's future salary of $13.9M next year, followed by $20.8, $22.5 and $24.1 makes this off-season the perfect time to move Herb, assuming you want to move him...at any time during the next few years.

Lmao Herb ain't getting 2 frp. He gets one if you are lucky.

At this point he is a defensive specialist since his 3 ball fail off a cliff. Teams dont value defensive specialists anymore unless you are an elite big defender.
