Your favorite McCartney solo album

For me either Ram or Band on the run. Some serious lyrics on Ram tearing down John and yoko.

I like Ram, personally. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey is a great song.

I would vote for Ram, too; but I choose Venus and Mars because I got to see a bit of it being recorded at the old SeaSaint studios in New Orleans.

I love me some Paul, but I never liked some of the simplistic rhythm of some of his songs I.e. When I'm sixty four, maxwells silver hammer. I always find myself listening to those and wishing there was a bit more to them

Did he really take shots at them? Examples? I'm not a Beatles expert, so I'm just trying to learn.

Once again, I'm not an expert, but I think that Paul was great at writing pop songs. The problem with he and Lennon was that Lennon was all artsy and stuff. Lennon wanted to be so deep and thought provoking in his writing. I think Lennon took himself too seriously, and thought that every song had to have a deeper meaning. McCartney just wrote good, catchy songs.

McCartney has some great ones. "Every Night", "That would be something" and "Junk" are some of his best.
