Although heady jaded vets may scoff at this notion, the general opinion of phans throughout the galaxy is that the 8.17.97 Bathtub Gin is a truly transcendent piece of music. The peak reaches magical mountain heights, as the band and crowd become one tour-de-force. What a great weekend.

blueslover, Mick T doesn't get enough props I agree. I'm glad he contributed to the 'new' tracks on the Exile reissue.
legba, those released shows on Google musci by the Stones do sound great. I will say that I prefer the tracks on the original Brussels Affair boot better.

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. Pine Knob Theater. It outdoors with a pavilion. When they started Turn the Page, The SAX player was swinging from the rafters. frickING AWESOME.
