It's wayyyy too hard to pick one.
BUT if I had to listen to one for the rest of my life, it would probably be Mountain Jam from the Fillmore East album. Has a bit of everything I love about the ABB all combined into one.

No disrespect at all to Duane but it was my impression that the band really took off when Dicky took over lead and slide. Am I not correct?

Maybe When in Rome or Cotton can shed a little light on something that has bothered me all my life.
Why the frick did Gregg Allman marry Cher?

I doubt Gregg could explain that one haha

Its so mind boggling. Its like Dan Auerbach marrying Nicki Minaj

What did you think of my Mountain Jam choice?

I'm gonna say that there are two answers........ Cocaine and heroin.
I'm going out on a limb and saying mostly the heroin....

EXCELLENT choice. I just LOVE Gregg's voice so its hard for me to put Mountain Jam at the top. It's still absurdly phenomenal though

I knew the drugs was the big reason but come on you the amount of cocaine and heroin you would need to take to think marrying Cher was a good idea would kill a herd of elephants.

There's been times where I've been high enough to marry you.......
The thing is I come down and face reality..... Gregg didnt for like 10 years

Gregg's singing is great. But the drum solo. And goodness gracious, Duane's solos are to die for. I get chills every time.

He was the perfect guitarist IMO. Tasteful yet still a virtuoso.... In the background yet still inspiring...... In your face while at the same time mellow. There has never been anyone better

Great, now I want to cry. Thanks a lot

Blame Duane...... He made me think those things

I know its probably the most popular choice besides Jessica but I have to put Midnight Rider up there with Mountain Jam and Whipping Post
I was going to watch a movie tonight but yall made me want to jam to some ABB instead

See this is the problem you come to when discussing their best. Pretty much everyone of their songs is in the conversation.
Hell you could even make an argument for Soulshine

A better question would be "your favorite ABB album."
Fillmore East.

Fillmore East.

That's not even a question.
If that's not your answer then you're a retard. It's not even a matter of taste at that point
