This summer is no different, packed arenas and will be going to south america and mexico later this year after a long stint across Europe earlier this spring.
Again speaking to national draw and continued relevance, they were picked to play the 2016 super bowl weekend kickoff show. Though the cult remains strong, the periphery is still drawn as well.
Despite the phasing out of a lot of early fans, they've somehow picked up plenty along the way despite mediocre (at best sometimes) albums since 2000.

Carter Beauford is probably one of the top 10 drummers of all time. I used to be a big DMB fan but I got burned out. I do enjoy cherry picking a song here and there on my music rotation that I haven't heard in a while.
My initial draw to his music was ants Marching due to the fiddle sound, followed by the outside the box drumming. Whoever said Dave is boring and cant write is being facetious; I couldn't imagine composing a song like 41 or tripping billies in 2 lifetimes.
I liked them because it didn't sound like a regular 4/4 rock song with the dime a dozen rock guitar.

All the frat boys talking about "Dave" like he's their BFF.
That was Bruce Springsteen when I was in school.
