Why didn’t “groove metal” ever catch on?

Other than Pantera and LoG, no one really did it with any longevity....and don’t say “well what about so-and-so” if it’s not groove metal...

ETA: I absolutely can not wait to see Gojira in Atlanta on September 4th. I was unhealthily looking forward to that show when it got Covid cancelled, so crushing.

How this band is not bigger jus escapes me. The music is tight and well constructed, Tatiana is an amazing singer and front person. They are also amazing live. Also Tati is jus unbelievably hot.

I had tickets to see Jinjer in a small venue, Covid cancelled. Probably won’t get that chance again. :fingerscrossed:

Saw them last September inOKC, they were incredible live. Tight, tight band and her vocals live are just unbelievable. Also Tati has immense stage presence, you just cannot take your eyes off her. I also did the meet and greet and they were all super nice. Not just a conveyor belt actually had a chance for a short chat with Eugene and Tati. Btw she is tiny about 5’1” or so.

Me too. I have tickets for the HOB show in Dallas but it is postponed. I hope it is rescheduled but it is going to be interesting to see how club shows with open floors are going to be handled. We will see.
