They’ve been mentioned for sure but I’m surprised that they haven’t been mentioned more than they have:

Those three are the ones that really jump out in my mind as the number one favorites that I hear people always mention

Favorite band?
Keith Emerson's pre-ELP band, The Nice has been my favorite since I first heard them in 1972. Sadly, of course, they had already broken up in 1970, but they did have one reunion in 2002 and a live album, before their drummer, Brian Davison, passed away.

Everyone of my favs sound even better with a good buzz,BUT Pink Floyd takes it to another level. Not saying they are my favorite but holy shite.........
