I'm familiar with some of their stuff and I've liked most of it. I spin this song a lot.

Great power metal band with a fantastic vocalist, Roy Khan, for most of their critically acclaimed work. Standouts for me are: The Fourth Legacy, Karma, Epica, and The Black Halo, which were released consecutively over a 6 year period. Lost track of them after Khan left. They put out some great music.

Meant to reply yesterday. Kamelot is fantastic IMO. They are most closely aligned to power metal in terms of metal sub genre, and I'm not a huge fan overall of power metal but Kamelot is just too good to limit them with that description. Very strong in every aspect musically/technically, and songwriting. Roy was an all time great metal vocalist but Tommy is right up there and I don't think they've missed a beat.

I have not seen them live but would love to based on videos I've seen on Youtube. Very dramatic, almost operatic shows with guest vocalists and different characters in songs adding a lot of interest.

If anyone likes watching the vocal coach type reaction channels, one of my favorites over the last year has been Elizabeth Zharoff, a professional opera singer who goes by "The Charismatic Voice" on her channel. She's done Kamelot twice and loves them. (She's also fallen head over heels for Ronnie James Dio, which gives her big ups from me.)
