don't ever delve into the true history of most of the pioneers of gangsta rap or else it'll ruin the image for you.

most of them weren't anything close to the hardcore gangstas they portrayed themselves as. they were talented musicians and savvy marketers, not bad arse thugs.

I agree. I guess I named him because there's no doubt he had a huge influence on 'West Coast gangsta rap'.

His acting could be seen as a contribution, but I see why some would question how big he actually was to hip hop

I remember him from the movie Breakin and Breakin II
He was doing the gangsta rap long before NWA came along.
