What do yall recommend???

This board seems less gear related and more about music itself, but was wondering if there are a good bit of guitar players on here and what they might recommend for an at home amp. I've got a JCM 800 and a 65 twin reverb, but they are too loud and I'm not gonna be playing live anymore. Any recommendations???

It's supposed to deliver today. It's got some cool features and good reviews
The powerhead has small speakers and puts out 5 watts alone. It has built in battery that is supposed to be good for 4 hours playing time anywhere.
Plugged in to the speaker cab it's 20 watts.
If you are looking for a more traditional low watt tube type amp, it would be hard to beat the Fender vibro-champ reissue. It's 5 watts and really sounds great.
This little amp arrived and I tried it out a bit. It's perfect for what I need and sounds great.

For portable, versatile and every want/need box checked for Madison Square Bedroom or recording, take a look at the Boss Katana series; and Positive Grid's Spark series. I have the latter, specifically the Spark 40.
I too have big and badass all-tube amps, and I'm graced with a workshop in which I can open them up and peel paint. Yet the Spark gets probably 90 percent of my playing time.
Both Katana and Spark come in multiple sizes, wattages and speaker configs. You can't pick wrong with either brand or series, you can instead pick what's best for your needs. I will probably buy a Katana at some point just to have one - they are "that" good too.
Be aware too, both Katana and Spark amps have been out for a while so there are great deals to be found on the used market.

I really like the Spark amp idea, and it doubles as an interface or monitor if you do play live again. I think there's even a line out on it so you could plug into a DI box if you ever decided to play again...
You could get an attenuator or reactive load box and continue to use those amps for close to the same price.
If you really want a new amp and like the tube thing, there's a ton of great options for selection - one of my guitarists plays a Marshall 2525C mini silver jubilee that sounds great, the other one plays a 25W Mesa Badlander which is a killer.
I"m primarily bass these days, so I play through a nano cortex pedal into a Darkglass combo. I'd be cool with just getting a powered FRFR cab and keeping the rig lightweight if I went to playing guitar.

Tried attenuation and wasnt big on it. The silver jubilee isn't a bad idea though. I've heard really good things about them.
