what can board tell me about Delta Spirit?

Heard song called Bushwick Blues a couple of times, but never knew who sang it. Very raw and somber sound that I really enjoy. If it is representative of their style, I would appreciate other songs to check out. Thanks

I like them a lot... souds has evolved a little but from rootsy (song in post above) to def more indie on last record. complete with requisite afro-pop guitar..

Their lead singer was in Middle Brother with the lead singers of Deer Tick and Dawes. Middle Brother's S/T release was one of my favorite albums of the past few years, so I picked up Delta Spirit because of it. Good, solid "Laurel Canyon sound" kind of band. relaxed, south California vibe. Pretty good live band. Don't like 'em as much as Deer Tick (they lack the rough edges, which I like) but if you like a good clean sound this is a band for you. Solid songwriter.

Dawes moreso, but Delta Spirit sounds pretty similar.

they're decent...nothing great, but I have their self titled album and it's not bad
