Last year's album was album of the year for me. This just seems like a big departure. Not a huge fan.

as a lifelong weezer fan this is cringeworthy
last years album was top notch
the problem is Rivers is now the manager and owns all things weezer, meaning nobody tells him no or if a song sucks

Man, I really thought after a great album last year they may finally be back to making legitimate music. This is disappointing.
Such a frustrating thing that a guy with all the talent in the world and the ability to do something truly great wants to do shite like this.

I just think Rivers' tank is dry. A guy only has so many "My Name is Jonas" and "Across the Sea" type songs in him. All that early success keeps him relevant enough to grace us with C- singles such as the subject of this thread. frick 'The Rentals' for making Matt Sharpe believe he could do better than Weezer. When he left the whole thing started sliding south.

Eh, I like most everything Rivers has ever done. This doesn't strike me as THAT far outside the fairway.

I have always thought Weezer sucks. I will never understand why people like them. The Sweater song us one of those that makes me turn it off immediately.
That piece if garbage 'If You Want Me To' that came out in 2009 should have killed them off.
