Black Keys have a fall tour and have a 2 week break when Voodoo is, so wouldn’t surprise me if they were announced.

I'm not a Tyler, the Creator fan by any means, but I just saw this headline: "Tyler, the Creator's 'Igor' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart."

As far as I’m concerned, Voodoo owes us Bring Me the Horizon considering they didn’t pull Linkin Park one freaking time in the last two decades. How is that even possible? Not like LP hates NOLA. Those dudes came down here for a week after Katrina just to hang around kids going back to school and stuff:

ETA: people don't understand fricking around and sarcasm, but Voodoo pulled off BMTH so

I get nervous this time every year. I just pray for one harder rock act that will get me to go one day at this point.

Voodoo is an EDM and Pop fest now. The glory days are dead and gone, but I'll probably still go anyway because I'm a sucker.

Brandi Carlile is a pretty solid booking, don't expect me to ever compliment Voodoo again tho.

I could see this. Patrick Carney got married in NOLA last month, so they have a connection to the city.

Voodoo Fest is a festival with no identity.

Appealing to no one by trying to appeal to everyone. The line ups consistently make me say “I wouldn’t mind seeing them, but I don’t want to pay $75+ to see them”.

At the rate things are going, I don’t think I’ll ever have a desire to attend another American music festival.

Yeah, this lineup is a far cry from QOTSA -> APC - White Stripes on the Sunday main stage in 2003.

All I ask for from Voodoo is to provide 1 band a year that I really want to see at this point.

They've gone back to back for the first time in awhile.

2018 - APC
2019 - BMTH

I think voodoo needs to stick to its rock roots, Buku should expand to a 3 day festival and pull the EDM and SoundCloud rapper artists. JazzFest still does its thing and Essence pulls hip hop and r&b etc.

Just a thought. I’m sure if that were a good idea they’d do it, so their current genre selection must be doing okay.
