Same here. Merriweather Post Pavilion was such a great album.

These new tracks are awesome! I loved Meriweather. Most of your die hard fans don't like their new direction, but I like it a lot. Meriweather was such a solid album all the way through, as was Strawberry Jam.

I saw them live a couple of years ago. Was a cool experience. The visuals were great.

I was very disappointed with them live, but I feel that was because it was a hot outdoors set in the middle of the day. Their light show was non existent and I think that really contributed to the show being underwhelming.

Honestly, I would have been a little bored without the visuals that they had. I mean, there isn't much to see other than a few dudes messing around on laptops and sound boards and singing. The visuals synced up with the music great. I was in a trance the whole time.

Oh and June 26 is the tentative release date for the new album. So soon!

I guess they just had a bad show when I saw them.

ETA: Terrific studio band though. Panda Bear is a genius.

I thought the new tracks had a Strawberry Jam/Feels era sound, which is fine with me. As much as I loved MPP, Strawberry Jam is still my favorite AC album.

Unfortunately, I think June 26 is the day this single is released, not the whole album. I am not even sure if these will be on the upcoming album or just a stand-alone single.

Not sure how credible this source is but:

Yet, the band has been on a “steady course,” a publicist confirmed, planning to debut the full album on June 26.

On my phone so it wont load, but I lover meriwether and can't wait for their new stuff. I've also heard mixed reviews on their live show. Thoughts?

I need to check these out. The last track I really enjoyed was What Would I Want Sky from their last EP.

Honeycomb is quickly becoming my favorite track of the year. But I am a sucker for those knotty, fast-paced, Avey Tare led songs.

New album, Centipede HZ, due out Sept 4. Neither of these tracks appear to be on the album though.

Seen both animal collective and panda bear live. Lennox sounds much better live doing solo stuff. I think it has to
so with the harmonies with avey tare. but when Lennox samples himself and does his own harmonies real magic happens
