Turntable/Record player

So, my old 1962 record player finally crapped out. I'm getting rid of it and I'm in the market for a new one to still play my vinyl records. The old one was of good size (pictured below). Do they make a new, small one that is play ready (not needing speakers, amplifier, etc.)? I'm really looking to clear up some of the space and would love to have one just to set on a table or whatnot. Thanks!

I think you are looking for something cheap and easy like this:
You can buy a Crosley at your local Target. My friend has one, and it's a pretty good record player for having built-in speakers.

Throwing it out (which is bittersweet). It lasted a good 51 years. I guess it is true, they don't make them like they used to. I hate to do it because it was such a reliable player. However, the cost of repairs (due to parts) is not worth the hassle and cost. Plus, loading and unloading the players is a huge pain in the arse. The thing is heavy! Also, I'm looking for something that I can set on a table or bookshelf.

That's a damn shame. I'm a fan of mid-century furniture & music & old stereo equipment. Any chance you are in Louisiana?

You have been absolutely wrecking your vinyl with that thing.

the new ones are pretty pricey to get a good quality one. I just bought a new mancave setup off Craigslist for pretty cheap (amp, tuner and record player for $100 total)
the old guy who used to own it (who died, unfortunately, and his son was selling it) kept it in perfect condition, even had original manuals, receipts and schematics
hooked it up to a pair of advent speakers and works great...i'd check online and see what you can find in your area. But I'm also a sucker for the older look.
