Here's how I see it.
DIe-hard Phish fans like to think that there is some competition going on between Phish and WSP. So in their heads they've built this idea that Spreadnecks have this "deep and passionate" hate for Phish. I've never met a single die hard Panic fan even bring up Phish let alone bash them. Phish die hards on the other hand are so self conscious about Phish being the best band ever. I think they just want someone to care about them so at least someone will. As someone who enjoys Phish more than WSP I can honestly say that the die hards are fricking annoying. Nobody cares that you've seen Phish 137 times or that you've taken down a buffet with Dave Schools. Get over yourselves and enjoy the music that you like to listen to.
So there I took that troll bait and ran with it. Enjoy.

You haven't met a lot of southern panic fans then it seems, or at least not the same ones I end up around. Die hard fans are annoying either way but don't kid yourself about a lot of the panic fans not hating phish.
ETA: In your face die hard fans, not die hard fans who just enjoy the music.
I can't speak to phish fans up north, but I had a panic fan tell me at one of their concerts a few years ago that I probably shouldn't wear a phish shirt because everyone there would give me shite. Don't know if his assumption would have been true or not but that was a panic fans assessment not mine.

Call it 12, though I think 14 is more appropriate or is it 13, and 16? I lose track of the total but I think 1 less than the school claims is appropriate, usually call it 3 less than the school claims to appease the masses.
If you ever had any younger siblings you would understand they always get a stake in your successes.

I didn't want to seem to be sensationalizing it, but he told me there would probably be a fight. I laughed at the notion, but I wasn't planning on wearing a phish shirt anyway. Just thought the scenario was ridiculous.

I have a tough time comprehending how anyone can prefer WSP over Phish. I don't see why they are even being compared. It is an insult.
