We have to do a couple upcoming shows without a drummer, and are looking for good covers that make sense without drums. What are some of the board's favorites?

Any musicians here who have had a similar dilemma in the past?

To give good recommendations I would need to know what type/era music you were playing with the band

We run the gamut from late 60’s rock through recent stuff. Most of our originals sound like southern rock but heavier. We’ve covered the following bands in the past:
Kings of Leon
Michael Jackson
Foo Fighters
Tribal Seeds
Thin Lizzy
Led Zeppelin
Bob Dylan
Oasis
Jimi Hendrix
Ted Nugent
The Pack A.D.
New Found Glory

But we’re pretty open to genres. We all have pretty diverse tastes.
Lead guitar: 80’s metal
Rhythm guitar: pop punk and blues rock
Drummer: Zeppelin and nu metal
Bassist: prog rock and death metal
Vocals: soul, pop, and r&b

Hell, Zeppelin has enough good acoustic stuff to do a complete show.

Foo Fighters- obviously that kick arse version of Everlong
Michael Jackson- I've heard some great acoustic versions of Human Nature
I personally really like Feeling Alright on acoustic. I think I found it on one of the tab sites.
Incubus- Drive
Marshall Tucker- Can't You See
Allman Bros- Ain't Wastin Time No More, Melissa, Please Call Home, Revival
Skynyrd- Tuesday's Gone, Mississippi Kid, Made in the Shade
Elvin Bishop- Fooled Around and Fell in Love
Charlie Daniels- Long a Haired Country Boy, Simple Man, Uneasy Rider
.38 Special- Second Chance
Van Morrison- Moondance, Into the Mystic
Stones- Midnight Rambler, Beast of Burden, Far Away Eyes
Rod Stewart- Reason to Believe, Maggie May
Doobie Brothers- Black Water, Long Train Running
America- Ventura Highway, Tin Man
Tons of Tom Petty stuff that sounds good acoustic

Thanks, some really good choices I hadn’t thought of in there

If you’re in BR, we’ll be playing at Mid City Makers (by Radio Bar) at 6:00pm
