So Train did a cover of Led Zeppelin a few years back. Any of you listen to this?
Im sure I will be in the minority but I think they did a great job. Pat Monahan's voice was very good for Plants.. It does not have the intensity of Zeppelin but the sound was very good.
Thank You
What is and what should never be
Heartbreaker

Not too bad, but like you said," lacks the intensity" and when we are talking about LZ, intensity is important. That's OK though, I don't understand doing covers that are exact copies anyway, make it your own.

I believe the lead singer was in a Zeppelin cover band before Train hit it big. I agree he sounds very good.

I really expected to hate this because I love LZ and have never been into train at all
but it actually ain't too bad

percussion is the obvious low point.

Man I grew up in the 70's and early 80's and they were my second favorite band. When I heard Train had covered them, I was shocked.
I honestly think they did a great job with most of the songs. I listened to all of them and it was very good. Surprisingly good.
Thank you is outstanding

Man, I figured you were in your 30s.
I'm hoping for your success, even more now.
You let me know, when you are ready for an electric guitar, I'll get you hooked up with something good.

I am currently scheduling my unplugged North American tour. Once I get back from that, I will move on to electric..

I like Train. Nothing spectacular about the instrumentalists, but the songs are good and ole boy does a good job with the vocals.
I know I am very late to the party (probably comes with owning every Tool release except Salival). However, I think I recently stumbled upon the GOAT Zeppelin cover:
Yes, I'm talking about Tool's No Quarter

It is very well done, but their redo of LZ II is an EXACT cover of each song--arrangements, solos, effects, etc. It's just a cover album as opposed to redoing a song with some different style or unique characteristic. I'd listen to the original in the future.
However, I've got to hand it to Train for putting out this album (in 2016) and donating all proceeds to Family House--"Family House serves as a home away from home for families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing physical comfort and emotional support, free from financial concerns."
