Actually, there will not be any Carrie Underwood’s or Kelly Clarkson’s as long as Universal Music Group has the Voice or the American Idol contracts to sign the contestants good enough to be signed by a major record label. Look at American Idol, once they took over the American Idol contract from Sony Music Group in 2011, they systematically cut all the American Idols they signed either before they recorded an album or shortly after they cut their debut albums. In essence, from season 10 forward American Idol was just a scam, as UMG Interscope just destroyed the careers and dreams of the American Idol contestants they signed without any artist development, promotion, or support whatsoever. Now UMG unsurprisingly via Republic Records is doing the same damn thing to the Voice contestants they sign as well. Indeed, the Voice is also a scam too.

So it wasn’t that there weren’t any former Idols as good as Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson. It’s just that Universal Music Group destroyed their careers,and predictably they are doing the same damn thing at the Voice too.
