The Rock Boat - anyone done this?

A co-worker is on this cruise (I know, cruise ships are trashy), anyone here had this experience? Is it worth considering?

Disclaimer: I'm not a cruise guy.
That said, I've seen more focused versions of these cruises (311 does one) where it's one band (maybe a handful of supporting acts) and there is a lot of interaction with the band(s).
Some take it another direction (Wilco and Slightly Stoopid, for example) and take over an entire all-inclusive resort for a long weekend.
I've wanted to do both, but the timing just hasn't been right.

If I were ever gonna go on a cruise, it would only be the Lamb of God "Shiprocked" cruise.
At least then I know the others there are my demographic...

My sister has been going on it every year for about a decade. It’s basically a cult at this point with regulars. She’s made a lot of great friendships. Seems like it’s mostly an older crowd.
Not my idea of a good time but if you like that type of music, it’s worth a shot.

50 Tons of Metal has better lineups, but I'm not going on that cruise.
