Somebody in the crew always got mail order or had extras. Paid $120 for nye 98 i think in the secondary market from a ticket brocker. Actually i think it was a xmas present from my folks. Ive saved my stubs and there is a lot of mail order tickets in there. I do remember having like 3 people on phones hitting redial until one of us got through. It got to the point where i always knew someone at a show with an extra and i would just go to shows and find friends.

When I was at LSU I went to the Ticketmaster location inside of Major Video in the Acadian/Perkins shopping center right when Summer Tour 2010 went on sale. Ended up with solid seats for 7.1.10 and 7.4.10. Last year the TM website crashed on me and I wasn't able to pull anything good. Yesterday was pretty successful with the mobile app.

Some potentially very exciting news for Instruments a Coming at Tips on the Monday between Fest:

quote:

Before the concert Tip's will host a family-friendly street party that starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public free-of-charge. Outdoor events include a silent auction to benefit Instruments A Comin', a Battle of the Marching Bands, a Wall of Fame induction ceremony honoring Phish and a Walk of Fame induction ceremony honoring Terence Blanchard

Dave Dreiwirtz was the bassist for Ween and now is with Bustle in Your Hedgerow and Joe Russo's Almost Dead, along with Marco Benevento. I really wish one of those acts were playing.

That is awesome. I hate the fact Utah gets the rights to that brand.

Not sure. Pretty strange situation. I 'd call the Saenger if I was you.

At the stages you will be fine. Walking around smoking may be pushing it though. There are a lot of kids and families there.

Obviously during Phish it will be a free for all.

As long as you are at a stage and not standing on the edge in a walk way, you can blaze all you want. When the hippie bands play no one gives a frick. If you're not feeling it you can always walk over to the Congo stage and everyone will be smoking.

ETA you can hit me up for some bro
