I didnt mind it all actually. I just know if it is there again and Trey is on the bill then a bunch of people will get shut out.

Well you must have a higher tolerance for old melvins crowding in on you to see some music and then going back and forth every 15 minutes and talking about stupid bullshite across your face.

Plus it was super hot

I try my best to not let others ruin the experience. I was Leo side near the back and had plenty of room to get down.

I'm sorry, not you Melvin, its just an expression. We can party this year.

ETA: I didn't want to be behind the columns, and I don't let them ruin, but in a perfect world I would like it to be in a larger spot without all the terrible columns.

That final Sunday should be great. Trying to predict the closing acts.

Arcade Fire
Shorty
Fogerty
Aaron Neville
Radiators

Thinking Arcade Fire takes that Black Keys set from last yr and leads into Shorty closing Acura. Would be great if Fogerty led into Arcade fire as the Funky Meters did last year. I think Aaron Neville closed Gentilly last yr, but will they give it back to the Radiators this year?

Last yr was Brassaholics- Funky Meters- Black Keys- Shorty.
This year may be Dirty Dozen- Fogerty- Arcade Fire- Shorty

Is Shorty the "official closer" of the fest for the foreseeable future? That was my understanding last year.

Hoping it goes Radiators - Fogerty - Shorty

Looks that way. With Arcade Fire closing Acura a couple years ago on Saturday, and the Radiators closing Gentilly for years i don't see that happening.

Yes. He took the slot previously occupied by the Neville Brothers

Heady, which LZ album do you think Plant is going to sit in and sing with Phish?

I thought I read something that said the Rads would not be closing. I hope I'm wrong.

The Radiators, the longtime final Sunday closer on the Gentilly Stage, will stage one of their periodic reunions at the festival that day. They'll likely precede John Fogerty at Gentilly.

that's a shitty call

Looks like a Fogerty or Shorty decision.

That is the worst part about Jazz Fest. Every year you got to make some real tough decisions.

That's what i was hoping wouldn't happen. Shorty killed it last yr, but I think I would have to go see Fogerty close out Gentilly this year.

20 minute version of When the Levee Breaks, with Plant on harp and vocals.
