The Grand Old Opry song
I thought you fans of Ken Burn's Country music documentary might enjoy this song. It references a ton of the performers highlighted in the documentary.

The song is from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's 1972 album "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." Country music greats like Vassar Clement on fiddle, Junior Huskey on bass, and Jimmy Martin on vocals perform the song with the band.

re: The Grand Old Opry song
I love the part right before the song begins where the hot mic picks up Jimmy Martin telling the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's banjo player, John McEuen, "Pick the banjer solid, John. Ya picked one fer 15 years, aintcha?"

This song was on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band greatest hits cassette tape I found in some family member's collection as a kid. Played a big part in getting me interested in classic country. Latter bought the two disc Circle album and played it to death.

I’ve got the original LP. It was a gift from a friend who was a DJ at WNOE back in the 70’s. Gotta be one of the greatest composites of the history of country music ever recorded
