So
I’m familiar with their hits. Never realized how influential they were. Anyone a big fan? Maybe share some deep cuts?

Everly brothers were great. I'm a big Fan.

I heard a long extended version of Long Time Gone, that was greatness, I have never been able to find that version though.

I've got an old Hondo Little Suzy Guitar buried someplace.

It's an awful guitar, it looks cool though.

"I'm On My Way Home Again" (1969)

Country-rock w/the legendary Clarence White on guitar. Supposedly Gram Parsons is on backing vocals, but I can't hear him.

My best friends mom used to play guitar backing them live on the radio when they were kids in Iowa.

He still has the J-50 she used.

Cathy's Clown has one of the best melodies oat imo.

People don't really understand how influential they were to the biggest acts of the late 60s and 70s.

I recommend the documentary The Everly Brothers: Harmonies

Take A Message to Mary

Not necessarily a deep cut, but seldom gets played anymore. Looks like it's an Everly day now. Thanks for the reminder.

Same here, so much good stuff to rediscover.

this was always one of my least favorite Mark Knopfler songs, until I heard them do it.
