moe. was great but the Civic's theater's sound sucked. It was 10x better on the balcony than down on the floor.

Lol when I say inner lumberjack by mid second set my friend was throwing down 40 bucks each trip to the bar and bear hugging 8 beers back to our seats. Fun times

I literally cant understand how anybody couldve left that moe show unimpressed. But then again I was on the balcony having a blast. I dont know what the sound was like on the floor. I suggest you go listen to the set again and learn to enjoy it

I was a believer after those shows. Moe is fricking good. Some of the lyrics are a little ghey but that's just jam bands. I had a blast.

Lol yea dude. Some of the lyrics are just in good fun. Like suck a head...."if you wanna get head, suck the head.........squeeze the tit." If I could repeat the Saturday of watching phish at the fairgrounds and then catching moe late night once a month, I would in a heartbeat

Eta: and my bad burt that response about enjoying the show was in regards to Dave England's comment about the show being "meh." I just hit reply on your post because it was closer when I refreshed.

Dave England aka lolheadyjr is still a n00b at best. His understanding of the jam band tier structure is still elementary at this point. In time, he will accomplish great things.

Re-listened to the Jazz Feat set on Phish OD today. In retrospect, my gripe with Grind, although merited, was misplaced. That should have gone to The Line. Good renditions of Character Zero and 46 Days with that snoozer sandwiched in between.

The AXS TV broadcast shows the band didn't play bad at all. If the sound at the Acura would have been louder along with a slightly modified setlist the show would have been inifintely better.

Eta: Harry Hood did blow. I will admit that.

Try as I might, I can not find even a portion of a frick to give about either one. And I appreciate the fact that they can play, but after 20 minutes . . .

Yes. With Garcia, of course. Kicked off the set with Six Days on the Road. They were okay.

I'd have to think about it to narrow it way down, but I'm sure the Stones, Beatles, Velvet Underground, Clash, Yardbirds, Allman Bros Band, The Band, etc., would be in there.

And for single artists, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Neil Young, etc.

NOTE: For purposes of your question I'm limiting my response to older artists merely for convenience/efficiency and their longevity. I like plenty of newer and current artists.
