The Bob Dylan Movie - Yes or No?

Are y'all seeing the commercials for this? Is it something you'll make a point to see one day?
Having watched interviews from early in his career he was funny and outgoing, not the lifeless carcass he's been for at least the last quarter century. If he's played as the former and not the brooding Bob I think it could be pretty good.
He's got a good story starting with having seen Buddy Holly on his fateful last tour.

This is such a great story if you've never seen it.
I really miss new Joe Chambers interviews.

It’s a definite yes for me, huge Dylan fan along with my dad and uncle.
I don’t know how many times they have seen him live but it’s quite impressive.
Bob has so many stories, i feel like you could do 2 or 3 movies covering each of his “eras.”

As a huge Dylan fan, I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it. Reading a few reviews, it looks really hackneyed and cliche. It just doesn't seem like its target audience are fans like me. I'll still watch it though.

Damn right I'm gonna see it.
First movie I will pay to watch in about 25 years.
IMO, the title is genius.

Al Kooper is cool as can be, and tells the story so fantastically.
His luck that day that the Hammond organ was left on..jeez.

Hearing Chalamet sing Dylan in the trailer kind of instantly took me out of it. His voice is just too dull or something. I liked his singing in Willy Wonka, but not this. idk, I will definitely give it a chance, because I love Bob Dylan, and I do like Chalamet's acting. Musician bio flicks are so hit or miss for me. If its someone I have listened to a lot and know a lot about then its like I am too close to the subject material and I find myself nitpicking. We'll see.

this wont be the biopic to nitpick...nor will anything ever purporting to chronicle his life and career.

Sitting around here this morning thinking about it.
I wish there was a way that I could see it with my 1st wife and oldest daughter together.

This is me as well. The fawning reviews saying he sounds just like Dylan and you can't tell the difference drive me irrationally crazy.

When you've had a career as long as Dylan it's best to focus on a slice of it, which is what I assume this will be. I'm looking forward to it since it's his period I'm most interested: early through going electric. And it'll touch on people like Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Cash and maybe a little on Al Kooper.
He may not merit it, but I wish they'd do another biopic on Jerry Lee Lewis focusing on the time period from the scandal of marrying his second cousin through his country comeback - his wilderness years.
There are so many small parallels between his career and Elvis', one being they each only played the Grand Ol' Opry one time. Jerry Lee was told by the Opry manager to only play three songs and not to use profanity, so naturally he did both. By the time he was done with "comeback" he had thrown away his marriage and his career - again. And to me that should be the focus of a movie: his self-destructive will that drove him to repeatedly destroy himself and those around him.

That's why the title is so genius: "A Complete Uknown".
