Have you ever listened to Duane Allman play a guitar? You do realize Duane Allman is widely recognized a top 5 guitarist of all time. Duane was a virtuoso, Clapton hand picked him for "Layla"...
Musicianship, staying power, record sales, touring longevity, critic and commercial success, tragedy....
I'm sorry man but the ABB is 10x the band CCR was (I like CCR)...It's really not much of a debate....
without googling...name a member of CCR besides John Fogerty...
CCR has some kickass tunes, but is no where near the "Band" that the Allman Brothers is/was....
Just because the dude's favorite band was CCR doesn't make them better than the Allman Brothers....have an original thought....
