Ryan Adams - 1989 - Youtube

I like the cover album better than hers so much I actually bought the Ryan Adams album.

her voice is on par with most teens that only sing in the car. but that's her target market and they like it.

she isn't out there promoting violence or telling people that the police are devils. and she just donated a million dollars to help the flood victims of Louisiana.
as long as I don't have to hear her music, she's ok by me.

She's a fine person and her community service is admirable.

I don't really care for her music. She has talent, but it's wasted on commercial pop rather than meaningful art.

quote:

She writes shallow, catchy, poppy bullshite for teenage girls, but it sells. She has flawlessly pulled off the elusive country to pop transition, which typically goes in the opposite direction. I do have to give her props for writing most of her own songs, though. That's pretty uncommon in pop music today.

Can't disagree with what you say, but at the same time I simply could not give one minute of my time to listen to her...
