I agree with that. sturgill is a bit of an attention whore and likes to frick with people. just who he is.
like when he said that people didn't need "machine guns" in 2017 I think it was the year when he was busking outside of the CMA's with the grammy in his guitar case. sturgill himself owns several AR-15 platform rifles.

I may be alone here but I like when an artist explores outside of his comfort zone and does something different. I don't want the same album over and over again.

No kidding. I loved Sound & Fury, but I can understand how some might not like it.
People who didn’t like Sailors Guide are just dumb. It didn’t sound like MetaModern so they got all pissy. IMO, Sailors Guide is his best album.

There are some good charities. There are many that funnel money to their directors and way less than 50% of what is raised actual helps the intended charity subject.
It makes way more sense, if he’s being pure, to say I’m gonna donate the first $500k I make to these charities, or I’ll match your donations up to $500k off of this new album.
Maybe he has contractual restrictions that prevent that approach, or maybe he’s an attention whore, or maybe both.

I own it on vinyl but I bought it at a live show on that tour. looking online it seems like it's sold out EVERYWHERE... didn't realize it was such a rare record

I feel like they’ve stopped making it. I called my local record store and they said they checked all of their vendors, and each vendor has every Ritter album except for So Runs.
Just seems weird that I can get Golden Age or Radio no problem but can’t get one of his best records.
