Sound City documentary on Amazon Prime...check it out if you get a chance. Great documentary on a legendary recording studio. Was amazed at how many great albums were cut there !

Tom Petty did a couple of albums there, as well as the classic Buckinhham Nicks, a couple of Fleetwood Mac albums. Nirvana's classic Nevermind was also recorded there.

Any of y'all seen this, and what were your thoughts ?

I'm pretty sure that I saw this about 10-15 years ago and remember thinking that it was extremely well done and educational. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the documentary was about a hand-built recording board that had a lot of legendary albums produced on it in the late 60s/early 70s and then was brought out of retirement for Nirvana's Nevermind.

it’s fantastic. my buddy nick appears in it a few times. he’s the “guac” guy. that was the start of his career, he’s got 3-4 grammys now and his own studio in nashville

love the scene where the tech whispers to the camera “i just told paul mccartney what to do!
