Dude has been working with Travis Barker on a pop punk album so if you're into old school Blink and Sum 41 you're probably going to like the new MGK

I think pop punk just works better for him plus it can't hurt to be working with Travis Barker on your new album

Agree entirely - I like both MGK and am a big fan of pop punk through most of its iterations (Ramones > Buzzcocks > Descendents > Queers/Screeching Weasel > Green Day > Blink/NFG et al. > All Time Low) and this shite is just bad. Dude can't sing this style at all, the Paramore cover he did awhile back is equally terrible.

Listening to the new album now. Better than anything else I’ve heard from him. I’m enjoying it.

It's weird because a lot of it actually sounds like Juiceworld with a bit more punk influence. The monogenre is real.

Say what you want, but Rap Devil is a much better all around song than Killshot. You could play that at an even and everyone would sing along.
This is coming from a guy who knows almost every word to Curtain Call.

I agree here, and I honestly didn't even think it was close
I like MGK as a rapper and have for some time, Bloom was a great album that started to get more towards pop territory and show a different musical side to him and I enjoyed that. But his latest pop stuff doesn't do it for me. Props to him for doing what he wants, but I'm just not a fan of his latest work
