Snider's What the Folk last night...

Lineup was Bobby Bare, Jr, Elizabeth Cook, Hayes Carll, Todd Snider

A crappy review....

Bare Jr...we got there late and missed him

Cook...caught a couple of songs, pretty good, would have like to have caught more

Carll...awesome. Great songs, solid acoustic player, funny guy. Condensed set so he didn't play some of the standards like Beaumont, Wish I Hadn't Stayed So Long.

Snider...disappointing. Solo set that really dragged. Not sure what he was on but appeared to be pretty messed up, which is hard to cover up in a solo acoustic show. Other times I've seen him he had much more energy in the shows. Guitar work was good but mostly talk-sang his way through songs.

Didn't stick around til the end so I'm not sure if they did any Elmo Buzz stuff or any other collaborations.

A Cook/Carll bill with a full show would be awesome.
