Has anybody ever set up 2 p-90s in series and set up a 4 way switch? How did it work?

I'd suspect all your going to add with the fourth position is a boosted "both pickups" selection. That's all you add with a two-pickup Telecaster getting a four-way blade switch. Standard tele pickups and standard P-90s are both two-conductor single coils.
Four-way switching is useful if you are a lead player in a band and want an onboard volume boost on the fly without using the volume knob or pedals. The catch is a four-position blade rearranges the pickup settings and "neck only" - a highly desirable position for me - moves from the end of the blade to the second position, which makes it harder to switch to it fast and efficiently.
I put a four-way in my Tele for about two weeks and went back to standard three-way switching. Meh.
I can't remember the last time I modded a Tele to add a four-way. It was a hot buzz item that died quickly, at least among my client base.

Yeah, reading some articles about it, and that was an issue that a lot of folks had, so now, instead of doing the switching through the blade switch, they are doing it through a push/pull tone pot.
I've played some Telly Deluxe guitars that were setup that way from the factory, and I liked it. I was just curious if anyone had tried it with a pair of p90s. seems like it would work the same way.
I'm kind of thinking about getting 1 of the squire paranormal thinline tellies that have 2 p90s. The controls need to be upgraded anyway.
Fender has a push button 500k S-1 switch/pot part# 0061257049 and you need the Knob kit with the button in it, part# 0059272049. parts are about 50 bucks to do it that way.

Ritchie Kotzen wiring gives you stock and series without the 4 way blade

Have you ever heard or played 2 p90s wired in series?

No, just a tele with a P90 hidden under the guard instead of the lipstick. P90 is just a single coil, should sound awesome.
I almost always played in series and just rolled back the vol.

Two P-90s in series will boost the audible output, including the lows and the 60-cycle hum. Expect boomy lows that require EQ adjustments to clean up and probably a helluva lot more 60CH. Your idea might be a fun experiment but I'd be surprised if you kept it that way after the novelty wore off. Like me with the four-way blade on a Tele haha.
Most players want two P-90s where one is RWRP (reverse wound and reverse polarity) so they will hum-cancel when used together. Much more usable switching option, particularly for recording.
