Who lets this happen? Nearly spit coffee on my laptop.

Third Eye Blind has a catchy little tune and I guess its 20+ years old, but that doesn't mean it is morning news appropriate. Hilarious watching their little studio crowd with 2 generations of moms/daughters singing along.

"Doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break."

"how do I get back to the place where I fell asleep inside you?"

"
quote:

She's got her own motivation She comes round and she goes down on me
"

The line that WAS cut was the "red panties, face down on the mattress."

I can only assume some programmers and producers are shitting themselves.

It was like the singer was nervous as hell. "When are they gonna pull the plug?"

Anybody else see this?

Are you saying they are a one hit wonder? Cause they aren't

The last 3 songs of their debut album (motorcycle drive by, the background, God of wine) is one of the best closing 3 songs on an album I've heard still to this day. Semi charmed life is probably they're least favorite and inspired song to play for good reason but just so happened to completely encapsulate (with the help of 'jumper' and 'how's it gonna be') the feeling of a late 90's summer.

While Stephen Jenkins is a total douche and they aren't half the musicians as they had in the original band, there's something about their studio albums that people who grew up hearing will always enjoy if only for nostalgic reasons. At least for me, enough to be in Clearwater next weekend to see them.

Also PS if you enjoyed the musicianship of that band their original guitarist and bassist are in the band XEB and sound much better than those guys in 3EB now, the concert was pretty bad

Nothing like that. Just saying those lyrics were uttered over everybodys breakfast like it was pop fluff. Pretty damned gritty lyrics really to a "catchy" tune.

I think they were booked by some people who did not do their research.

Well to be fair it did play on mainstream radio I just think it was before internet could google lyrics and no one really could figure out what he was saying in some parts. He looked completely held back and trying to mumble through the bad parts, sounded awful haha

"Red panties face down on the mattress." Was omitted. Lol

I'm paraphrasing that line. Can't remember it all and I believe that line was the one not played on the radio years back.

Those little red panties, they pass the test
Slide up around the belly face down on the mattress

I will respond because this album was my entry into college

"motorcycle drive by, the background, God of wine"

When rain kept them from Gulfportfest, I was so sad.

Their most famous song is all about the highs and lows of meth and soccer mom's just went "Doo doo doo doo doo doo aaaahhh"
I'm packed and I'm holding
I'm smiling, she's living, she's golden
She lives for me, says she lives for me
Ovation, her own motivation
She comes round and she goes down on me
And I make her smile, like a drug for you
Do ever what you wanna do, coming over you
Keep on smiling, what we go through
One stop to the rhythm that divides you

And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse
Chop another line like a coda with a curse
Come on like a freak show takes the stage
We give them the games we play, she said...

I want something else, to get me through this
Semi-charmed kinda life, baby, baby
I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-bye

Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo...

The sky was gold, it was rose
I was taking sips of it through my nose
And I wish I could get back there, someplace back there
Smiling in the pictures you would take
Doing crystal meth, will lift you up until you break
It won't stop, I won't come down
I keep stock with the tick-tock rhythm, I bump for the drop
And then I bumped up, I took the hit that I was given
Then I bumped again, then I bumped again
I said...

How do I get back there, to the place where I fell asleep inside you
How do I get myself back to the place where you said...

I want something else, to get me through this
Semi-charmed kinda life, baby, baby
I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-bye

I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling, an earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And the four right chords can make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be alright, alright

And when the plane came in, she said she was crashing
The velvet it rips in the city, we tripped on the urge to feel alive
Now I'm struggling to survive, those days you were wearing that velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties they pass the test
Slide up around the belly, face down on the mattress

One
And you hold me, and we're broken
Still it's all that I wanna do, just a little now
Feel myself, heading off the ground
I'm scared, I'm not coming down

No, no
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws now, locked down in a smile
But nothing is alright, alright

And I want something else, to get me through this life
Baby, I want something else
Not listening when you say...
Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye, good-bye

Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo...

The sky was gold, it was rose (Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo...)
I was taking sips of it through my nose (Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo...)
And I wish I could get back there (Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo...)
Someplace back there, in the place we used to start

Exactly. Just a catchy little tune with moms dancing with daughters in the crowd. Lol

Anybody listen to lyrics? The singer appeared to be cringing. I believe he just stopped singing for the "red panties" lyrics. Just played guitar.
