They pretty much created their own genre. Stones blues rock…

It was simply "Rolling Stones", which is much better for a general Stones thread, which this now is

I think this is wishful thinking on Brian's part. Earl Phillips was an old blues drummer that played with Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker and Howlin’ Wolf in the 50s.

I think Tony Chapman may have been playing drums with them at this time. ...and Mick Avory was playing around with them occasionally as well.
