It was ok. He didn't have a full band. He played acoustic and had an electric guitar player and a pedal steel guy. His voice sounded good but I missed the punch of a rhythm section. After he played all of Trace he went into new stuff and it really was boring. I listened to 5 or 6 songs and couldn't stand it anymore. I see bands all the time and have ever left early once. Now twice.

I'm thinking about getting tickets for 12/18 at Old Town... I may leave out the solo acoustic detail to the missus...

I saw the Austin show Friday night and thought it was great. The highlights for me were when they had dual pedal steels going. I was never bored at all, but I'm a pretty big fan. I can see where his songs can kind of run together for people though.

I love Trace and Straightaways. After that he started going downhill IMO. I would have stuck it out but my wife was really bored and then my buddy texted me and said his band was playing at a place near our house so we took off.
