Doomsday was a favorite track of mine, which seems fitting since 2020 practically feels like doomsday.

“On Doomsday!, ever since the womb ‘til I'm back where my brother went, that's what my tomb will say
Right above my government; Dumile
Either unmarked or engraved, hey, who's to say?”

RIP MF, and good riddance, RIP 2020.

Hands down my favorite album cover of all time..

I'm 40+ years old, and I geek out like a teenager everytime I see that album cover. Vic Vaughn is my favorite album, but that Madvillain album cover captures so much persona and is so goddamn sick.

Speaking of geeking out, here's Mos Def showing his level of DOOM fandom. I'm not sure how anyone could watch how hype he gets Mos Def without gaining an appreciation or becoming an outright fan..

Mos Def is MF DOOM's biggest fan.

RIP Mr Dumile..

I watch that video a few times every year.

I listened to a lot of DOOM when I was a young teenager in myspace music. I didn’t really know what I was listening to, but loved it.

Years later I found that video and it sparked my fandom again. Found an extremely detailed Reddit post covering his entire career from the start with tons of links to tracks and albums and explanations of his characters and stuff.

Been a massive fan ever since.
