He's had it as early as 2004. I read his book and he talked about it. It's not a surprise considering all of the heroin/coke he's shot up and 100's of girls he's slayed.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was drug related. The guy has relapsed many times. Also, the lyrics for the song "Dark Necessities" seem drug influenced...but who knows. I'm hoping it is just something like his gallbladder.
