I got talked into taking my daughter down to City Park Festival grounds next Saturday for this. What should I expect? Was disappointed to read no chairs or umbrellas so I can’t get way out of the way and go straight old Jazzfest style guy.

I don't think anybody knows because this tour is a first? They better just hope it doesn't rain leading up to it or during because City Park festival grounds floods if someone just cries a little too much.

I'm also really curious to see what crowds look like.

I’m not familiar with the “festival grounds”
Is that where I park for the bus to Jazzfest? The website says they won’t have parking on site which I thought was strange

“festival grounds”

In City Park near the overpass on Wisnor. Where Crescent City Classic ends and where Voodoo Fest used to be held

A smaller than usual crowd for a music festival (compared to Voodoo or Jazz Fest) at least in Nola, because I bought tickets just for Friday. They went down $20 on single day passes and offered me Saturday & Sunday for $50 each (thanks but hard pass) I know they capped Chicago at 20k, I'm assuming they are capping
Nola near the same range- maybe more.

Quite the bummer that you can't even bring blankets into this. I've heard it's all very corporate. Limited food options, but drink lines move fast (this is from San Diego N1 via the BG boards).

I think it'll be pretty sparse until it's getting dark. Boygenius doesn't come on until 9 and the only other draw really is Clairo who not a lot of people know about or like enough to spend a few hours in 100 degree heat without shade or a chair.

I would be shocked if this pulled in 20,000 people, let alone 10,000.

Is anyone going Friday night? I would love a review of the setup, I’m not too concerned with the artists

Attendance Friday wasn't terrible.. I've never been so fricking drained by heat though - I know I'm old, but the lead singer of IDLES at one point had a brain fart and just stopped singing because of the heat, they were still amazing.. I think it was their first show ever in Nola, so I'm guessing Talbot wasn't ready for the humidity (but who is)
