I'll be there - missed his last HOB NOLA show as I was in Houston, where he plays (or used to) often. Not going to miss this apparent farewell tour.

My 14th time to see him live. Saw farewell show in Mobile last month. Didn't have the whole band. No steel guitar or mandolin but still enjoyed it. I think he has opened with What I really mean every time I've seen him play in NOLA

We upgraded to the bench upstairs because we got too full at dinner and need to sit down. Damn I’m old

I always sit on the benches first row.

Awesome show. Over 2 hrs with 1 brief break before a few encores. Had several not on the list, including cover of Whitehouse Road, with shout out to KY flood relief.

I bugged Whitbeck for setlists for so many years as a drunk college student

I’ve seen a few better nuggets on other lists on this tour, but it was nice to be in the building tonight. McMurtry’s Levelland was the treat for me. Would have loved Son & Brother, Kindness, or Jesse…figured Front Porch was a longshot.

I’m more thankful for the 20 years of sets than I am enough to complain about this one…awesome chance to say goodbye. Fun night with good friends.

ETA: Loved Waterfall too…Picnic is my jam

I could read the set list at the guitarist feet from where I stood. I was happy when fg & g turned out to be feeling good & gringo. Foundation room manager gave me 5 tix to War Saturday the 13th. Bonus!

Updated setlist

He sounded really good for hanging it up in one month.

I would have slightly redone for the setlist, but a good show nonetheless.

I get he is done touring, but I wouldn't be surprised if he pops up here and there for a festival or big show.

I was thinking the same thing. He might not “tour” but he’ll still play. Very fun, he seemed to enjoy it too
