Which do you prefer?
I’m torn. I feel like the highs of the music scene from Kentucky/West Virginia are better but damn there is a lot of solid music out of Oklahoma.
Appalachia:
Sturgill
Childers
Steel Drivers/Stapleton (although his solo stuff is very “Nashville”
Old Crow Medicine Show
Josiah and the Bonnevilles
49 Winchester
Charles Wesley Godwin
Etc. etc.
Oklahoma:
Turnpike
Zach Bryan
Whiskey Myers
Wyatt Flores
John Moreland
Etc. etc.
Two similar yet completely different styles of music and songwriting.
Not even going to get into the Alabama/Georgia scene.
