Not a huge rap fan, but I do have some on my iPod. My big five:

De La Soul - three Feet High and Rising
NWA - Straight Outta Compton
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Talib Kweli - Reflections Eternal

All I know is Datpiff is going to get some serious work from me tonight

I really couldn't pick a go-to album or mixtape for me because I take one or two songs from each to put in my mixes. For working out though, any of the Flockavelis does it for me

for BET doing the Cyphers again. I absolutely love it. It is like Christmas for a hip hop fan. True essence of MCing.

I've always thought he was a good lyricist, but he played to an audience with his albums. There's a song on the new MGK album (which is pretty damn good) that features him and it goes pretty hard

Whenever you can't decide what to listen to, you can go to this tape every time. It never gets old. You never get tired of hearing it. Whether its something new or old, everybody post your go to album/tape. I'm trying to get on some new shite. I'll name a few of mine. 1. Lil Wayne - Tha Carter I 2. Lil Wayne - No Ceilings

i actually have the dedication II in my truck right now.. given the time and the circumstances that CD came out, it will always stay one of my favorites...

i also think that the drought III was awesome too, but like you said, he isn't the same anymore.. i'm anxious to listen to dedication 4, i have only heard 2 tracks from that CD so far

wiz khalifa's rolling papers album is pretty awesome too

I did. The cyphers this year were the best I've heard out of any year. So many good artists and almost all of them absolutely ripped it.

DMX killed it.

I don't remember being very impressed with his. it may have been nice, but he was on the bottom of my list of the best ones of the night. Talib Kweli absolutely murdered it.

I need to give this a serious listen. I've listened to it, but it was one of those things where I wasn't really paying attention. Just kind of had it on while I was fricking around on the computer. Is it that good?

It's really good IMO, I'm a huge Slaughterhouse fan though so I might be a bit biased.
