Nashville and Athens are the only 2 worth mentioning.

Baton Rouge has had some great tours roll through in the last few years. Is it New Orleans? Not by any stretch. But it's been 1000x better in the last 5 years than before that.

Athens and Oxford. Lots of small intimate venues that get some great bands. Nashville is just different and really has nothing to do with Vandy so i don't count it. Columbia, SC is oddly poor for live music.
