Lightning Bolt > Infallible > Pendulum is an incredible 13 minutes. That's the highlight of the album to me, what a sequence.

Sirens is right before that, and not a bad song.

I'm liking it more. It's still growing on me, though.

I listened to the album a couple of times and then gave it away. Pearl Jam gone country doesn't do it for me.

Haven't had a chance to see them live since he new album came out, but I heard an extended solo at the end of the live version of lightning bolt that is incredible. I wish they would have added that to the album track. They had the room.

Overall great album. I'm trying to find the country feel being referenced by others. The only song I can connect with that is sleeping by myself and that was a Ed solo song with band added, which could be the reason.

Let the Records Play struck me as a country feel the first couple of times I heard it.

I don't care for pearl jam as a whole, but the new song isn't bad.

however I have to say that "classic rock" was always thought to be a group of songs/bands from a specific era in music.

that's what radio stations refer to anyways...

now some of those i'd disagree with like metallica, priest, and nazareth.. but 60's/70's rock from 65-79 is the typical format for "classic rock" with some exceptions to it... (guns and roses?)

I can see it, but I think they were going for a bluesy sound there.

Playing KISS 'Rock & Roll All Nite' shouldn't count. Would be nice if a station played their better stuff (Deuce, Strutter).
