I'm digging it. I'm already on my second listen.

By my count there are zero weak tracks.

Is it better than Manners? I'm not willing to go there just yet. I put Manners on a very high pedestal. But this is an excellent album in its own right.

Been hearing good things about it. I haven't had a chance to give it a listen but plan on it later today.

I think it's pretty solid although I've only given it one listen through. I'll give it a couple more rides before making further assessments.

But if youre a passion pit fan you should definitely check out pitchforks cover story in them. Pretty crazy feature

Manners was a fun listen at first but after repeated listens became close to unbearable and I basically hate that album now.

I'll give this a chance but Im not expecting much.

Only important question before I grab it: Will it make me want to kill myself?

Just read that article and it really makes you wonder how long they will be around. I will check out the new album tonight.

I had the opposite experience. It continued to get better and better the more I listened to it.

Angelakos is a tortured tortured individual, but he happens to make very uplifting music. Passion Pit songs make me happy.

So, no, I don't think you'll want to kill yourself.

I was thinking the same thing. After reading that, I'd be surprised if Angelakos makes it to 30.

This is a bold statement. It isn't outlandish, though. I think Gossamer is really really good.

Do y'all rate your songs in iTunes? I do sometimes, though I'm not religious about it. Anyway, a good way to judge an album is the number of 5 star songs you give it.

Manners:
Sleepyhead
Moth's Wings
Little Secrets

Gossamer:
Carried Away
Constant Conversations
It's not my fault, I'm happy

But if iTunes had 6 stars, sleepyhead would have gotten all of them. That was one of my favorite songs of the aughts. But Gossamer has "Love is Greed" and "I'll Be Alright", which are like 4.5 stars to me.

So it's close.

EDIT: I shouldn't leave Chunk of Change out of this.

Chunk of Change:
Sleepyhead
Better Things
Cuddle Fuddle

I wouldn't listen to that album unless I was with a 17 year old chick

You let chicks tell you what music to listen to?
