Who has been? Taking my son this summer and looking for some details. What time should we leave for the venue? Closer hotels to the venue? We will be there for 4 days so what else can we do in Denver up to say an hour or two away from the city? Thanks!

Go! Amazing experience.

Take the bus round trip, don't stay near venue.

I go every summer....it's the best

You can stay in Golden, CO or even in the actual town of Morrison if you want to be closer to the venue.

I'd recommend staying in Denver, and signing up for a bus. They have at LEAST 10-15 diff companies that's sole business model is transportation to and from Red Rocks from Denver. It's about 30 min away

The Sunday show starts during the day (3ish), and will get out before it's dark.

Take a picture of your row #, or write it on your hand.

I can give you a lot more info if you need it, but that's a start.

You'll be fine...

The rows go from one side of the rocks to the next. So if you don't want to be a pain in the arse, sit near the end, so you're not having to ask people to move while you go buy a beer or piss. If you're looking at the stage, stay on the right. That's where your beer and urinals are.

Two parking lots (upper and lower). The fats will tell you to come in on the upper so you aren't walking up all the stairs. It's a really cool perspective to come in the lower because they wrangle you right into the venue, and you walk right past the stage. You and your son will want a picture there.

Air BNB/Hotel in golden or Morrison. In terms of what to do, hit up a Rockies game if time allows, do some hiking around red rocks, wake up early and go to boulder for a little bit, zip lining in golden, buffalo bill museum, look out Mountain in golden, and golden gate canyon would be a good start.
