I first heard of them through Green Day’s cover of Knowledge (like most people who know them probably lol). Never really got much into them beyond that but I’ve been on a punk kick lately and I’ll have to check this album out

It's a great record from the late 80s... Obviously, half the band went on to form Rancid... You can hear the carry over..

yeah, GD grew up in their shadow on Lookout and at Gillmam St.

Yeah, it clearly sounds like proto-Rancid. Man, another band I haven’t thought about in forever. I’m gonna be up all night reliving my teenage years now

From that same era, give this one a listen front to back...

Probably my favorite pop punk record ever...

Haha I have that one sitting on my CD shelf next to Boogadaboogadaboogada. Weasel was one of my go tos. I think probably my favorite band of that genre/era is Guttermouth. I can't find the full album on youtube but I listened to Musical Monkey constantly in college

The song My Brain Hurts is one of my favorites ever. Love me some Screeching Weasel. Operation Ivy - Energy is an album I usually bring out twice a year. Love it.

Anthem for Tommorow is another great Screeching Weasel album to check out.

Love me some Operation Ivy. Hugely influential on the bands that came after it in the ska-punk scene. I have some ska nerd skeletons in my closet.

If you haven't already, check out Common Rider. It's the other band that spun off from Op Ivy.
