Can anybody recommend a good site for online bass lessons? I've been playing for about 3 weeks so it needs to be pretty beginner focused.

Try 'Scott's Bass Lessons' on Youtube. He seems to have a lot of content for Beginner/Intermediate.

$55 per 45 mins. That's a little pricey

Carol Kaye is one of the best bass players to ever pick up the instrument. $55 isn't that pricy for a lesson with her. She's a living legend.

If I were just starting out I'd take a lesson from her. You could always email her first and tell her you're a beginner so she goes easy on you

she does say "no beginners" on her site...

She is. And still expensive for someone new.

Have you looked into my suggestion? He might not be the 'sexy' or big name pick, but he is very informative and covers the whole gamut of playing.

Guitar Lessons usually feature Standards/Jazz music Styles only, and I only teach Standards/Jazz only on Elec. Bass, as well as picking techniques, music theory etc. No beginners please - for Guitarists, please make sure you buy the "Jazz Guitar CD & Guide first (see Catalog) before signing up for lessons -- Bassists need the "Jazz Bass CD & Guide" ....this makes Skype learning work fast and easier then. It's OK to sign up for Skype Lesson within a week or two working on the above tutors, thank-you.
just saw that. i'm going to get a lesson from her soon. but i've been playing for 20 years... $65 for a bass lesson from one of the all time greats isn't expensive. at all.
