If you like the soft/loud/soft dynamic like Smashing Pumpkins or, to a degree, Nirvana, you should really like

Aereogramme - Zionist Timing

A Story in White is a really good early 2000’s album.

Servotron

Best band consisting of robots sent back in time from a dystopian, machine-ruled future to start the machine revolution through anti-human themed surf rock ever.

Russo & Weinberg
Raccoon Raccoon

Both of these bands are foreigners singing duet pop folk/country. Found them on artlist, they're not my normal cup of tea at all but they're really good.

Not obscure, probably, but Jellyfish. I think their music has held up well. Just discovered them somehow.

Twelve Foot Ninja is one of my favorites.

They sound a lot like Mr. Bungle, if Mike Patton wasn't completely and totally batshit insane.

Enuff Z’Nuff is really good, not really a well-known band. Their debut album came out in the late 80’s. Check em out!
